BANNED:

drugs, vindicator minigun rocket launcher, pulse pistol , gauss pistol, armored super mutant, mules (characters with low level that carry equipment for other characters), scavengers (characters that have high level but no weapons or armour and get equipment from dead characters)

Unwritten rules that are known but are unofficial:

the team that has more players should not use gauss sniper rifle characters nor armored super mutants

This ruleset is played on assault maps. Characters usually fight near one specific place. On the Downtown map it's a place near a graffiti with a 'Muties' sign. If two or more players can't find each other one of them says'mutz' and they should find the opponent there, but it's not a must. Although the game normally takes place on assault maps the players are obliged not to use any switches or destroy any target objects. The aim is pure carnage.
